The 文科副学士 (A.A.) degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a senior institution and pursue a course of study in a liberal arts area.

The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a senior institution and pursue a career of study in a general field or specialized 专业领域.

A General Studies Short-Term Certificate is also available. This certificate includes courses required for the A.A. 和/或.S., and may be obtained enroute to one of those 度. Students who plan to transfer to a 大学 before completing an associate degree may choose to take advantage of the General Studies Certificate. 此凭证可以 also be used to enhance employability in the workforce.

Students should consult with an academic advisor to determine a plan to complete General Education Core requirements with consideration of the academic requirements of an individual student’s transfer-receiving institution. Departments and programs may suggest, require, or specify appropriate course work not only to complete these requirements but also to facilitate the transfer process.
